The company is led by Simon Tobin, who, until recently, served as the Eastern Sales Manager at LiuGong. With 47 years of experience in the plant industry, Simon has a remarkable background.
At the age of 16, Simon embarked on his career by joining the Royal Engineers in the British Army. He attended the Royal School of Military Engineering and acquired qualifications as a combat engineer, heavy plant operator, and mechanic. Subsequently, he worked as a foreman on a diamond mine in South Africa.
Simon's career path led him to work with several plant manufacturers. He also held positions as a commercial manager at two of the largest plant hire companies in the eastern region. Additionally, he managed various sea defence projects, including overseeing the logistics of constructing Southwold Pier.
Notably, Simon Tobin was honoured as Salesman of the Year and his dealership was awarded Dealership of the Year for LiuGong 2022. Simon credits his broad-ranging experience for enabling him to fully comprehend the needs of his customers, which is exemplified by the exceptional backup and spare parts services offered by LiuGong/Tobin Plant LTD.
Working closely alongside Simon is his dedicated wife, Zuhal, who serves as the company’s Finance Director. Together they form an indispensable team that keeps the company's operations running smoothly. Zuhal's expertise in finance has played a pivotal role in the success of LiuGong/Tobin Plant Services. Their collaboration ensures that the financial aspects of the business are as finely tuned as the machinery they provide.
